There's definitely a whiff of marketing stunt about this clip. Any number of similarly powerful bikes with reasonably good brakes could probably achieve similar results, and being capable of such tire-exploding antics doesn't prove much about the Octane. Still, no one else has so far been able to spin the rear tire so far with someone from Guinness present, so these guys, and Victory, now hold the record. Plus, the footage is kinda fun. The Victory Octane has a 1,179cc liquid-cooled V-twin with dual overhead cams and four valves per cylinder. The mill makes 104 horsepower and 76 pound-feet of torque, and those ponies route through a six-speed gearbox. As this clip adeptly shows, the bike can do a burnout for at least a couple miles.
