Teenage driver in custody after car crash kills four youths in Dubai

A teenage motorist is in police custody after the car he was driving smashed into stationary vehicles at the side of a Dubai road and killed four youths who were chatting nearby.

Officials said that eight youths were talking beside two cars near Al Warqa roundabout, one of which was stuck in the sand, when the out-of-control vehicle sped towards them.

The horrific incident happened on the University Street on the way to the Al Warqa roundabout about 11.30pm on Monday and traffic prosecution is awaiting an accident report.
