Carbon aerodynamic enhancement, wheels up to 22 inches in diameter and high-performance exhaust for 771 kW / 1048 hp system output
Making the sports cars from Lamborghini more powerful, faster and custom: that is the specialty of NOVITEC. Now there is also a refinement range in exposed-carbon look for the hybrid super sports car Revuelto.
For the premiere, the German automotive refinement specialist clad its first show car of the new model in a purple hue similar to the one Lamborghini once chose for the presentation of the Diablo SE 30 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Italian sports car brand in 1993.
The product range spans from carbon aerodynamic-enhancement components developed in the wind tunnel to alloy wheels, which were developed in cooperation with the American manufacturer Vossen and are produced there using a combination of forging and CNC machining technologies.
In addition, NOVITEC developed a thermally insulated exhaust system, which gives the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter, 12-cylinder engine a more pronounced exhaust note and in combination with metal catalysts also boosts the output by 24.2 kW / 33 hp.
Sports springs and options for a cockpit design tailored to the owner’s wishes round off the NOVITEC range.
The design makes the Lamborghini Revuelto a sports car already ex works. The NOVITEC designers developed an aerodynamic-enhancement kit with consistent racing looks for the car with a top speed north of 350 km/h. It received its aerodynamic finishing touches in the wind tunnel. The NOVITEC bodywork components are produced of exposed carbon with a clearcoat finish, but can also be painted in vehicle or contrasting color.
The combination of the two NOVITEC front spoiler aero panels at the sides, and the central front blade enhances the looks. These components also produce more front-axle downforce at high speeds, which optimizes handling stability. In concert with the NOVITEC hood, which comes either being made entirely of exposed carbon or in vehicle color, these upgrades give the mid-engine sports car a more defined face. The headlight trim and the front cover, both made from the same composite material, add visual highlights.
The two NOVITEC rocker panels, the aero trim on the scissor doors and the mirror covers are also made of exposed carbon. They contribute to the side view, as do the NOVITEC alloys tailor-made for the Revuelto.
The American producer Vossen developed custom wheels in three designs for the Lamborghini model. In addition, there is a choice of 72 color variants and smooth, brushed, or polished surface finishes.
The vehicle pictured here is fitted with the NOVITEC NL5 design featuring a hub cover in centerlock styling and six spokes that split into a Y shape. Wheels of sizes 9.5Jx21 at the front and 12.5Jx22 at the rear carry matching high-performance tires of sizes 265/30 ZR 21 and 355/25 ZR 22.
Custom-made NOVITEC sports springs lower the ride height of the Revuelto by about 25 millimeters and, thanks to the lowered center of gravity, optimize the handling.
To balance motor racing design and aerodynamics, the NOVITEC team also developed aerodynamic components for the rear of the Lamborghini model.
The rear is visually dominated by the retractable NOVITEC rear wing. Its sculpted shape with lip spoiler produces more rear-axle downforce.
The exposed-carbon hood can be supplemented with an additional airbox to optimize air supply to the V-12.
A surround between the taillights showcases the four tailpipes of the NOVITEC exhaust system. The two pipes in the center have a diameter of 110 millimeters and are 10 millimeters larger than the two side pipes.
The exhaust systems come in two versions: stainless steel or INCONEL, sheathed in thermal insulation. The INCONEL variant can be plated with 999 fine gold, which optimizes heat dissipation.
The systems are complemented by exhaust gas routing. NOVITEC offers an active sound management system with integrated butterfly valves, allowing the driver to vary the V-12 exhaust note.
The systems can be upgraded with sports catalysts. This boosts the output of the V-12 ICE by 24.2 kW / 33 hp without modifying the three electric motors of the Revuelto hybrid drive, keeping the peak output at 771 kW / 1,048 hp.
