Jaguar Type 01: A Four-Door Grand Tourer

Jaguar has unveiled the Type 01, a striking four-door Grand Tourer that marks a bold new chapter for the British luxury brand. Combining dramatic proportions, advanced technology and all-electric performance, the Type 01 is positioned as Jaguar’s most powerful and aerodynamic model yet.
 


With its long bonnet, low roofline and sculpted body, the Type 01 takes a radically different approach to electric vehicle design. The exterior features ultra-slim LED headlights, full-width rear lighting and a distinctive glassless tailgate, while hidden door handles and a deployable rear spoiler help maintain its clean silhouette.




Underneath the bold design is a tri-motor all-wheel-drive system producing up to 1,030 PS, allowing the Type 01 to accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. Jaguar also highlights intelligent torque vectoring, all-wheel steering and an advanced air-suspension system designed to balance performance with comfort.


The electric Grand Tourer offers up to 720 km of range, while 350 kW rapid charging can add up to 321 km of range in just 13 minutes. The battery can also be charged from 10% to 80% in as little as 22 minutes under suitable charging conditions.


Inside, the Type 01 continues the futuristic approach with a 24-inch OLED display, a secondary 7-inch control screen, a panoramic roof and a premium Meridian audio system. A ClearSight rear-view display replaces the traditional mirror
and works alongside a 3D surround camera system to provide enhanced visibility.
