حصل ما لم يكن متوقّع، تحطّمت شاحنة محملة بمركبات هايلوكس 2016 في تايلاند. وتشير التوقعات إلى أن هذا الحادث سيؤخر من موعد إطلاق مركبة البيك اب تويوتا هايلوكس 2016

ومن المقرر أن تحصل تويوتا هايلوكس 2016، على عدد من المحركات التي تعمل على الديزل منها "المحرك الأول، سعته اللترية 2400 سى سى مع تيربو يولد قوة 160 حصانًا، بينما المحرك الثانى تبلغ سعته اللترية 2800 سى سى ويولد قوة 177 حصانًا
