يفضل المسافرين في البقاء على تواصل دائم مع أهلهم وأصدقائهم أثناء رحلة الطيران و فهم مستعدين التخلّي عن وجبة الطعام على متن الطائرة مقابل الحصول على اتصال واي فاي

وفقاً للدراسات التي أجرتها شركة بوغوف بالتعاون مع شركة هانيويل الى أن نسبة كبيرة من الذين شملهم استطلاع الرأي يفضلون البقاء على تواصل مع الأهل والأصدقاء أثناء رحلة الطيران، مقابل التخلي عن ميزات السفر الأخرى كوجبات الطعام والمقاعد المحجوزة مسبقا

يرغب معظم المسافرين بالبقاء على اتصال مع عائلاتهم وأصدقائهم على متن الرحلات الجوية، وفي دولة الإمارات بشكل خاص، يشكل هذا الأمر مطلباً أساسياً للمسافرين يمكن أن يضحوا بأي ميزات أخرى في سبيله

وتوفر شركة طيران الإمارات حالياً خدمة الإنترنت اللاسلكي “واي فاي” على 106 طائرات، كما تزود طائرتان أو ثلاث ضمن الأسطول بإمكانات هذه الخدمة شهرياً

وذكرت الشركة في وقت سابق، أنه منذ ترقية خدمة الإنترنت اللاسلكي أوائل فبراير الماضي وتسهيل الوصول إليها مجاناً، شهدت أعداد المسافرين الذين استفادوا من الخدمة زيادة كبيرة بنسبة 25%
