British Motorcycle Manufacturer Norton and Kinetic Engineering have entered into a Joint Venture to bring Norton Motorcycles to India and Asia.
The new joint venture (JV) was announced at the 2017 EICMA show.
The first motorcycles to be introduced by Kinetic Norton Motorcycles will be the Norton Dominator and Norton Commando.
Both the Norton Dominator and the Norton Commando are true blue café racers and are powered by a 961cc air/oil-cooled parallel twin engine that comes with fuel injection and makes about 79 bhp and develops 90 Nm of peak torque. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox while the final drive is achieved through an O-ring chain.

Upside down front forks and twin gas-charged rear shock absorbers make for suspension bits on the Cafe Racer while the Sport version will get conventional telescopic forks. The Sport version will get a regular handlebar while the Cafe Racer will use clip-ons.

The Dominator is a flagship model that’ll be priced higher than the Commando twins. It gets sharper styling and plenty of carbon fiber bits that pushes the weight down and increases costs. The bike has a much lighter frame as well.
