تخطط شركة ولاية أوتار براديش للنقل على الطرق الحكومية (UPSRTC) في الهند الآن لنشر أجهزة خاصة في الحافلات التي ستمنع السائقين من النوم خلال الرحلات الطويلة.
سيقوم الجهاز، المزود بأجهزة استشعار خاصة، بتحذير السائق في البداية بصوت تنبيه وضوء أحمر في حالة غفت عينه أثناء القيادة ثم إبطاء السيارة لاحقًا ودوس فرامل الطوارئ لإيقافها تمامًا.
صرح مسؤول في UPSRTC بأنه قد تم اتخاذ قرار بهذا الموضوع بعد الحوادث الأخيرة التي وقعت على طريق يامونا السريع.
وقال المسؤول إن الجهاز الخاص يتم تصنيعه من قبل شركة في بيون الهند. وكل جهاز يكلف حوالي 40000 روبية أي ما يقارب الـ542 دولار.
