Audi presented its new design philosophy in Milan with the debut of the Audi Concept C, an all-electric two-seat sports car. The event was held under the theme “Strive for Clarity”, highlighting the company’s new direction in design and corporate strategy.
The Concept C introduces a design approach focused on simplicity, precision, and functionality. Key elements include:
New Front Design: A vertical frame that defines the structure and showcases the Audi rings, inspired by past models such as the Auto Union Type C (1936) and the Audi A6 (2004).
Body Proportions: A central-battery layout with a cabin placed far back on the body, emphasizing a strong shoulder line.
Convertible Roof: An electrically retractable hardtop used on an Audi roadster for the first time.
Lighting: A new signature with four horizontally arranged elements in both front and rear lights, shaping Audi’s future identity.
Exterior: Presented in “Titanium” color, chosen for its technical and precise character.
Inside, the car features clear geometric forms, aluminium controls with the classic “Audi click,” and a steering wheel with refined tactile details. Materials and colors are tone-on-tone, creating a focused and functional environment.
Technology follows the same principle of clarity. A 10.4-inch foldable center display and haptic controls on the steering wheel and console are designed for intuitive use, providing only the necessary information.
According to Audi CEO Gernot Döllner, the Concept C is the first step in a broader transformation:
“Clarity is an ethos and the compass that will guide Audi through the times ahead.”
The Audi Concept C previews a future production model and sets the foundation for the company’s upcoming vehicles and overall direction.
