Formula E has revealed its next-generation Gen4 race car, scheduled to debut in the 2026–2027 season, representing a major advancement in both performance and sustainability.
The new car produces up to 805 horsepower in “Attack Mode”, a substantial rise from the Gen3 Evo’s 469 hp, and comes equipped with a larger 55 kWh battery to meet higher energy demands during races.
The regenerative braking system has been enhanced to 700 kW, enabling greater energy recovery per lap, while teams can adjust between high- and low-downforce setups for qualifying and race conditions.
Constructed with 100% recyclable materials and at least 20% recycled content, the Gen4 car underlines Formula E’s ongoing push for sustainable innovation, delivering faster, more thrilling electric racing.
